A couple of years ago I was forced to renew my prescription for my glasses. I went down to Walmart because I heard they had great deals on frames and ended up paying over $130 for a stylish thick black pair. The awesome thing about Zenni Optical is that you can upload a picture of yourself and see what the frame would look like on your face before purchasing. I know many people are concerned because they can't physically try them on in a store but I personally have never bought a pair I didn't love.
Another thing is that you don't need a prescription renewal to buy the glasses. You just type in your prescription for your doctor and its a done deal.
